What is your refund policy?

It is our policy not to give refunds, however we can offer to switch the athlete to a different week of camp for the summer or we are also able to offer a camp credit that can be used for next summer.

What does my child need to bring with them to camp?

In general we recommend bringing the following: sunscreen, comfortable athletic clothing/shoes, bag lunch, and a water bottle. Needs will also depend on what sports camp they are attending; please check the specific sports camps page for details. With anything your athlete brings we highly recommend labeling all of your athlete’s belongings with their full name.

Is it ok to switch to a different week of camp or to a different sport?

Yes that is fine to switch to a different sport camp or week. The camp must be part of GP Sports Camps which excludes ESF, Tennis, and All-Met Lacrosse camp.

My athlete is new to the sport; will this camp be ok for them?

For each sports camp the coaches will divide the athletes up based on age and skill level. This enables our coaches to work with your athlete in the most productive way whether if they are a beginner or advanced.

Will I receive a confirmation when I register?

Once you register and pay for your sports camp you will receive a confirmation email for your records. Additionally, the Thursday before your upcoming week of camp you will receive an informational email that contains many details of your upcoming sports camp experience. This includes: directions, carpool instructions, specific camp details, and more.

Do I need to complete health forms for my child to participate?

All campers will have to complete the necessary camp forms before participating in GP Sports Camps. When you register online this information will be completed during the registration process of your account.

Where do I drop my child off?

For all camps except golf camp, pick up/drop off is behind the stadium. Golf camp pick up/drop off will be at the front of campus at the Boland hall circle. There will be GP Sports Camp team members directing traffic and unloading and loading cars. Carline drop off starts at 8:20am and Carline pick up will start at 3:20pm.

The Thursday prior to your upcoming week of camp we will email a map of campus that will show you exactly where the drop off/pick up area is. If you are attending morning or after care the pick up and drop off will be in the circle in front of the learning center (George Center).

What is the ratio of campers to counselors?

The athlete to coach ratio is one coach to 5-7 athletes.

How do you handle inclement weather?

Regardless of outdoor weather conditions, all Georgetown Prep Camps will run each day. Georgetown Prep is in a unique position to accommodate camps in inclement weather with our vast indoor athletic space. Georgetown Prep Camps implement the use of lightening detectors as well as Doppler Radar each day throughout the day to monitor the risk of storms.

If and when the Camp Director determines it is unsafe to remain outdoors, all activities will be moved indoors. Campers will rotate through their athletic activities and other activities in the indoor space and the Georgetown Prep Team Members will ensure that their experience is still as enjoyable as it would be outdoors until it is safe to return to the outdoor spaces.
